Managed IT
The phones work
because the network does.
Internet phone systems, plus the meetings, chat and presence that now sit beside them. We port your numbers, build call flows around how you actually answer, and treat a crackly line as the network fault it nearly always is.

Where this usually starts
The phones went down. The phones were fine.
Everybody notices the second the phones misbehave, and nobody can say why. Here’s a hint. It usually isn’t the phones.
- Calls break up at half past ten every morning, which happens to be when the office backup kicks off.
- The porting date got set, then moved, and the old carrier kept billing right through the gap.
- Callers have heard the same hold loop since two providers ago, and nobody has the login to change it.
- After hours, reception forwards to the mobile of someone who left.
- Half the team is hybrid, so there are desk phones nobody sits at and softphones nobody installed.
What we do instead
We fix call quality on the network, where it breaks
Voice is the first thing to suffer on a busy link and the last thing anyone thinks to prioritize. So we set the network up for it before a single handset ships: traffic tagged, bandwidth reserved, the internet connection measured instead of assumed. Then the phone system gets built around how calls reach your business, not around a menu tree the vendor found convenient. And yes, we’ll change the hold music.
How it works
How your phone system gets built
The number port is the step people lose sleep over. It shouldn’t be.
Map how calls really come in
Who answers first, what happens when they can’t, what a customer hears at lunch and after hours. We draw the flow before configuring anything, because a flow that mirrors your day is what separates a phone system from a maze.
Get the network ready
Quality of service on the switches, a measured internet link, and a firewall that lets voice through without opening a hole. Most bad VoIP is a network nobody told that voice mattered.
Port the numbers without a gap
Porting has a date, a carrier on each side and a form that bounces if one digit of the account is wrong. We own the paperwork, book the cutover for a quiet hour, and keep the old line live until the new one has taken a real call.
Put a phone where each person works
Desk handsets at the front desk and in the warehouse, softphones for the laptop crowd, a mobile app for people who are never at either. One number follows the person, whatever they pick up.
Register every phone for emergencies
E911 means a phone has to report where it physically is when someone dials for help, and a softphone that travels with a laptop makes that harder than it sounds. We set a dispatchable location for each device and keep it current as people move desks. It’s a legal requirement. More to the point, it matters.
What we set up and keep running
A phone system that lives online
Cloud-hosted, so there’s no beige box in a cupboard waiting to fail. Extensions, ring groups, queues, voicemail to email, and recording where the law lets you record. Configured from the flow we drew together rather than from the defaults.
Number porting and carrier wrangling
Moving numbers between carriers is paperwork with a deadline. We fill in the forms, chase the losing carrier and cancel the old contract on the right day, so you stop paying for a line you no longer have.
Handsets, softphones and the app
A desk phone where someone needs one, a softphone everywhere else, and the same extension on the mobile. Provisioned centrally, so a new starter’s phone rings before their chair arrives.
Meetings, chat and presence
Teams, Google Meet or Zoom, whichever your people already use, tied into the phone system so a missed call and a message land in the same place.
Call quality you can measure
Jitter, packet loss and latency tracked per call. When someone says the line was bad, we can tell you which link, which hour and why. Then we fix the link.
E911, done properly
Every device registered with a dispatchable location, emergency services reachable from any phone, and an alert to the people on site when someone makes that call. It’s required in the United States, and we keep it current as desks move.

Headcount, sites, the numbers you own, and what a customer hears when they ring at ten past twelve.
